There are people who use citation software, but I do it by hand and really like it. Are there really any advantages to the software?

@ttkeskinturk @philipncohen that could be. The qual in economics also doesn’t pass the sniff test. Seems anachronistic to the 70s when they had a few qual scholars. The definition is going to matter a lot here it seems.

@jimiadams that could be. In our case we did have a reviewer and the editor gave us a conditional accept with the conditions that we follow what the reviewer said. Granted had we been rejected, I’d probably be saying the journal is doomed.

From submission to acceptance, Sociological Science is a very well run journal.
