@AlanSill Teams appears to not like me. Attempted to join but I keep getting dropped almost instantly 🤷
Do I need some sort of Microsoft Account in order to join the call?
Huh...so I created a Singularity container with the security scanning tool Grype installed, and baked in @popey 's awesome project `grype2html` to generate HTML reports if I pass `--popey` as a flag when running the container...and I just scanned said container...with itself.
Getting some "Spiderman pointing" vibes as well as a layer of "on the shoulders of giants" vibes with my research tonight...not even sure what path I was on originally that got me here! 🤣
@felimwhiteley @LateNightLinux I don’t often not confuse double negatives…or do I?
Also, I’ve tried KDE almost yearly since Breezy but it’s yet to click with me. That said, I do reach for Kdenlive first anytime I need to edit video.
So even though I’m mostly a GNOME user, I still very much see the value in the KDE ecosystem.
@LateNightLinux you just got another Patreon member. I don’t always agree with every take on the show (except maybe most things @felimwhiteley says…as long as it’s unrelated to KDE 😉) but damn do I enjoy listening to you lot!
Thanks for the podcasts and not shilling crypto nonsense!
Places that serve food here of late seem to like to have double orders as a single order so they can charge more? 🤷
I don’t get it. I ordered pasta from a food truck.
Excluding the fact that pasta is already hella marked up, that’s too damn expensive.
The amount of pasta I was served is easily a double portion. Just server half at half the cost damn it!
And heaven forbid you ask for a half order.
…end rant.
I’ve figured it out. This should have been half the size at half the price.
No one person needs this much pasta.
There is something unsettling about paying $20 for a single item out of a food truck…
Is it possible to have a traditional HPC cluster and implement Zero Trust?
To me it seems that those two things are at odds with each other.
@LateNightLinux When Ubuntu decided that ‘apt install firefox’ was really ‘snap install firefox’ I lost a large chunk of respect for snaps.
I have to admit that since then I have gained some appreciation for snaps, but that first experience sure did leave its mark.
There is something healing about a foggy day atop the nearest mountain pass.
That and a good beer.
Bye #SC24 👋
@nuccitheboss 🤷 I think it was just a happy accident that it worked and it wasn’t a goal during development? Just a guess though.
@nuccitheboss 1. Munge is still recommended to facilitate a gradual move to the new auth plugin.
2. Yes it works “by accident”.
@nuccitheboss I can sure try! What’s the question?
I’m on the lookout for any booth who wants to talk to me about bare metal provisioning!
Ugh. Hearing 'subscription model' from an HPC talk makes me feel ill 🤢 a little
What’s next? DLC and skins for your Jupyter Notebooks.
Am I misunderstanding or is calling a compute workload “serverless” like calling an Uber ride “driverless”?
The night is young, and my compatriots are lame.
