Comparing three approaches to product development, using a car as an example.
1 = waterfall. You start with just a wheel, then you have two wheels, then a whole car.
2 = agile. You start by making a simple but functional skateboard. This is superceded by a working motorcycle. Then you make a car.
3 = Artificial Intelligence. First an incomplete and non-functional car is generated. Then you get a green cat with wheels for some reason. Then just a duck. A giant cartoon duck.

It seems anecdotal for the most part, but hearing about people advocating running Cursor or Claude in dangerous mode while having any number of people have their systems wiped as a result really muddies the water on the whole LLM thing past the point of seriousness.

AI coding tools are currently good at the first 80% of software development, which is putting bugs in. Not so great at the second 80%, which is taking them out again.

Spending time learning how to coax a non-deterministic system into giving me the right information seems to suggest I already know what I’m looking for, so this is just a shitty search UX??

Seems like no one gives a shit about the actual layout of their website anymore. Sans CSS, most websites are unrecognizable, unusable, and lack any sort of comprehensible structure.
