The growth and sterilization of popular furry seems broadly inevitable. It sucks that FA decided to make their policy more restrictive, for sure. But don’t take their rules for any kind of community or moral standard. FA doesn’t represent a consensus on ethical consumption or expression any more than any other website or community member.

Social and cultural norms are never static. Reactions to FA’s changes today echo a lot of reactions to many changes across the years. We’re always learning to be better (god knows I am), but others’ tolerance for discomfort or risk will never change the definition of actual harm.

Please do not internalize the feeling that there is anything wrong with you if you like things that FA (or anyone) doesn’t like. As long as you’re harming no one and practicing proper consent, please love yourself and what makes you, you. And if you have doubts, seek help from a licensed therapist or a trusted friend, not social media.

I feel so weird cross-posting stuff again! Having a single outlet is bad, but cross-posting gives me try-hard vibes and I try to avoid that at all costs. x_x

@Ruffy I try not to. I try to be as understanding and empathetic as I can. My own feelings are not how everyone feels. I want to be nice. But I'm starting to lose my grip on being non-judgmental to anyone that uses Twitter still. Unless you are a creator or business and you need it to survive, it's... woof man. You have SO MANY ALTERNATIVES. 😢
