The laziest way might actually be the best because this is looking pretty cool

Trying out a different look with scutes on the hood and a lighter main body. It turns out a totally neutral gray looks slate-blue when juxtaposed with Dry Bones himself, which is great. The scutes still look silly... they might look cooler if I were more careful about shaping them... and if I actually painted them...

I made some "scutes" out of craft foam and applied them with a glue stick. Then I used photoshop wizardry to simulate a possible paint job. Simulating a Koopa shell-ish texture with craft foam would make painting a lot easier, but it might also look ugly. It might even look AMATEURISH. Fortunately I can just wipe the scutes off with my hand.

@DamonWakes Yeah I don't buy this for a minute. Isn't he supposed to have the proportional strength of a Spider-Man?

Alternately I can remove the screw just forward of the ugly gash I cut. It’s somewhat redundant since that part of the electrical enclosure is clipped into place as well. With his tail slotted into the screwhole, Dry Bones can lean his head against the roll cage and still reach the pedals.

A big problem with putting Dry Bones in a vehicle: His tail sticks out awkwardly and isn’t very flexible. There’s one place in the chassis where I could safely cut out a little notch for his tail (I also cut out the layer of the buggy’s shell that Spider-Man sat on) but to get any use out of it, Dry Bones has to sit pretty far back. Not sure yet what I’ll do.

I am now establishing that Jada previously produced FART KARTS with similar remote controls, with right triggers that were working sound effect buttons!

I’ll want to redecorate the remote somehow, eventually, so I took it apart a little. I found out the board is credited to Fart Karks RC, and that the right trigger is supposed to activate a sound! If I were braver, I’d pull the board out and see if the Tubro button is wired to the same output as the Forward button as I suspect it is.

After driving it around and scaring the cats a bit, I disassembled the Spider-Mobile and extracted Web-Head. I disassembled it a little too much and accidentally destroyed the steering mechanism, it is a minor miracle that I got it back together.

There’s very little room for Dry Bones to sit (which is why the Cobwebbed Crusader’s legs don’t go all the way down) but I’ll make it work.

ADDENDUM: When I found out you couldn’t put a poll on a post with an image I started typing “i thought this was supposed to be better than twitter!” but I realized that’d hide this very important image from people who have the word “twitter” muted. Of those people, let me ask: Would you be glad to miss out on that picture of Dry Bones next to Spider-Man? Would it be worth it??? Oh what’s that? You can’t see THIS post? yeah that’s what I thought.

I'm very impressed by UNCHARTED WATERS: NEW HORIZONS which was added to the Nintendo Switch SNES emulator thing a few days ago. It's the "do whatever you want in pirate times" sim that you daydreamed about inventing in third grade, and it has that incredible quality shared by the best sim games where you can get away with ignoring any of the systems that you're not actively interested in.
