The v3 samples have been committed.
If you can think of other samples that we should add, or would like to improve the existing samples, please open issues and/or PRs.
Thanks!
Always learning and evolving (and hopefully improving) business computer (dev) geek. C# and ASP.NET are my jam. Azure, too. Love of sailing. Dogs rule, in most cases. Running is stupid, but I do. Core is strength.

It is frustrating that home automation (Ring) just doesn’t work with Siri (Apple). Changing cameras to Home or Away modes should be possible without a bunch of taps on a device. Perhaps it sounds lazy, but I do enough taps in the day. Reducing the number would be wonderful. Even better, make it so leaving the house, or arriving, does this automatically. Not looking easy, if even possible.
For those who transitioned from lightning to USB-C cords on their iPhone, how many of you have made the absent-minded mistake of trying to use a lightning cable on the new phone? 😆 #musclememory #olddognewtricks
@thurrott Fair point! I thought it might have been in C, at least part of it. Even the tools were assembly (cold shutters thinking about masm now).
I saw the @thurrott post on MS-DOS 4 being open-sourced. Cool! Or so I thought. Until I looked at it. Assembly?! Less cool for me. It's totally impressive. It's real coding—like building a house with trees, nails, a hammer, and a saw. 💪 https://github.com/microsoft/MS-DOS/tree/main/v4.0
The new Outlook for Windows leaves me with mixed emotions. I'm not able to drag-and-drop attachments or set the colors of M365 calendars, versus the benefit of pinning messages (including automated pinning via rules).
New C# 12 preview features https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/check-out-csharp-12-preview/ including primary constructors for non-record classes and structs, using aliases for any type, and default values for lambda expression parameters #dotnet #csharp
It took 15 miles of my running pace to listen to the entire episode of #WindowsWeekly 821. Thanks for keeping me company @leo, @thurrott, and @richcampbell!
@leo Happuily, I didn’t notice since I no longer use the bird app.
Running into the wind (10-15mph) apparently can cause hearing cautions. This has happened before. Does this mean I should stay indoors until I see calm conditions lest I suffer the same fate as concert goers? Does this mean I must abandon ideal 10-20 knot breeze for sailboat racing? Apple, help me understand!!? #AppleWatch #AppleWatchUltra
Thank you @jsnell for your #macbreakweekly pick of #ivory as a Masodon client. I am still learning it, but is now my favorite. Exciting social media times!
Some people believe there's no purpose to "liking" something on Mastodon since it doesn't affect any algorithm.
Not the case.
It does something incredibly valuable: it acknowledges people.
Which is incredibly powerful, and is all the more important *because* it's not connected to gaming any algorithm.
By liking something on Mastodon, you are doing it honestly -- without any agenda at play other than that you like it.
So go ahead. Click that like button for its own sake.
@andrewmelder Agreed. I clean them almost daily due to workouts. Most of the time it is just re-seating them that corrects which may indicate a design issue?
It shouldn’t be possible with #AirPodPro ear buds to have one bud at 0% charge and another at 100% charge when in the same case, held in overnight. But, it periodically happens on both first and second gen sets. Why or why #Apple does this happen and re-seating, closing, and waiting resolves?
@devcommunity ummm…. The link is for Visual Studio. Very different than VS Code referenced in the post.
@Lisa @TWiT I have been a long-time member, so specifics are difficult to come by (Audible, Grammarly, …). I have never been disappointed. I am a TWiT Club member (since it started) and I still head over to the sponsors page on the website to check out. They are vetted and reliable, a level of trust earned by @leo over the years.
As a longtime Visual Studio developer on Windows (daily) who loves the MacBook Air M2 (for personal use), I struggle to find parity with Visual Studio 2022 on macOS. One instance of this is with Web Compiler (SASS/SCSS to CSS) and Minifier (CSS/JS). My comfy extensions don't work (e.g. Web Compiler 2022+). Web searching for ideas on Visual Studio 2022 for Mac is unhelpful, with mostly Windows results. Sigh.
@jlward For me, in general, it is positive. I am multi-platform (Windows, macOS, iOS, and iPadOS). By going to Outlook Web (webmail), it is centralized and independent. It is just a new "muscle memory" as I have so many years (since Outlook 2003) of going into Outlook (especially Windows) for rules management.
@rmaclean @maryjofoley @richcampbell @leo @thurrott it would be amazing to have MJF to suddenly appear with a gong at the right moment in the middle of the show. Someone has to keep the boys on track. 🤣🤓💻
With the absence of @maryjofoley, @richcampbell is a nice regular addition to #WindowsWeekly with @leo and @thurrott! Thanks for continuing the shows greatness!
