@kelpana so cool! good luck!
FOSS person. #Gamedev for the #ZXSpectrum, #Amstrad CPC, #Commodore64, #MSX and other shiny things (PC and #DOS!).

@kelpana so cool! good luck!
@kelpana are you competing?! Good luck if is the case, have fun anyway 😂
@kelpana thanks! Very unlikely, but sounds cool. Didn't know the place!
@kelpana you're in actual Bristol; I missed that. I would have loved to say hi or something having a coffee or a beer -- depending on availability and if you thought it was appropriate!
Is not common that the Internet leaks into my city 😂
Recap of my rPi home server so far: https://www.usebox.net/jjm/blog/my-home-server/
(I'm not paying attention, I was convinced the thing had 512MB of RAM... but it has 1GB! wow!)
@Waterfox thank you!
Hi @Waterfox 👋
The help menu in the android app goes to: https://www.waterfox.net/docs/support/android/faq-android
That is 404!
@Blerkotron hah, hopefully when the AI is gone what is left is not the "shit" part! My condolences
Essentially.
Yep, I agree that the main quest is very meh.
Looking good, Kharjo.
Done!
I also added a mua and this: https://wiki.debian.org/UnattendedUpgrades
And that's all for now. Will add more things as I feel like it, but the home server is ready!
I should probably buy a SD card though 😂
Doesn't matter if I can recover the system in 10 minutes if I have to wait for the SD card to come in the mail.
(although I could go and buy it from a local shop; true)
Considering that setting up the SD card took me about 3 minutes, I'm not going to clone it or anything. Instead I'll start a git repo with the conf and push it to a different server.
I know, I could be using something more dev-op-sy; but I don't care. It should be easy to disaster-recover anyway.
@phf if is eth or wlan, check the arp table for a MAC addr. From memory, ip a?
@puttycad on the screenshot looks better with the dithering. How does it look real size on a screen?
Actually, that's something to explore with Vic: Linux system/network admin. If he likes playing with that, there's a lot of fun stuff to learn.
That's how I started my IT career 25 years ago, after all. The coding gigs came after the sysadm stuff.
@doragasu done! 😂
I guess I can disable it and run a DHCP server on the rPi 🤷
