👨🎓 Sam, a student in BTS Cybersecurity at the Lycée Guillaume Kroll, recently joined @restena #security team for a six weeks internship. There, he will work on a complementary tool to test links shortened via edu.lu, the ‘URL Shortener’ service, that could be used for malicious purposes.

25 years ago, @restena has taken over the activities of the RESTENA project launched in 1989 to meet the communication needs of education and scientific research institutions in the country.
From its roots in the RESTENA research project, the entity well-established in the Luxembourg landscape intends to expand on its foundations to meet the challenges of the future.

Our public DNS resolver does not use any filter/blocklist. But it only listens for DoT and DoH, thus above dig call will timeout as just using plain UDP.

+2 years after a successful internship, Lucas, now a 2nd-year student in Master in Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Luxembourg, is back as a trainee within the #network team.
▶ Working on the EU-funded NGSOTI project led by @circl for a 5-month #internship, he will notably focus on algorithms capable of parsing large volumes of blackhole data + machine learning techniques to generate actionable statistics relevant to the Lux cybersecurity ecosystem.

Early March 25, @restena welcomed Camelia Faisi to assist the team in ensuring the proper operation of the RESTENA network, the national research & education network.
🤝 Restena met Camelia at Jobday IT, the 1st edition of an IT job fair by Digital Learning Hub Luxembourg and Agence pour le développement de l'emploi organized on January in Esch-Belval.
▶ Before joining, Camelia completed a Master ‘Réseaux et Télécommunications’ at the University of Boumerdes (Algeria).
