More Dangerous Legislation in Florida

Extreme and dangerous legislation proposed in Florida. A Republican state senator in Florida has introduced a bill ("Information Dissemination" ) that, if passed, would require bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis, his cabinet or state legislators to register with the state.

This law would not survive a challenge in court, but it is a clear attempt to undermine the First Amendment.

@rbreich It is a win, but we didnt get CTC either.

The US Senate will not include the Child Tax Credit (CTC) in their end-of-the-year legislation. Dozens of Christian organizations fought hard to push this legislation that would move millions of children out of poverty. Similar legislation decreased child poverty in the USA by 30% during the last three years. Senator McConnell wasn't open to any discussion about adding CTC provisions to the end-of-the-year legislative package. We will continue to advocate for the "least of these."

The #world need more weapons… not really. The U.S. Congress is set to approve a bipartisan military budget of $858 billions that will increase the production of #weapons. Weapons makers are having a field day. #congress #peace
