"Bewilderment" by Richard Powers is a great read (especially now) if you enjoy imagining new exoplanets, want to connect with animals, trees, bacteria and their link to us and the world, and how empathy affects different people differently. The story shows that a specific field can’t answer everything, just like studying genomics, glycomics or economics can’t explain everything about life and why we like something or what we do or who we are. It’s a book about a father and his son, wonder, science, environment, and more. BTW I am on page 120. Not sure how it ends. Loving it so far.
