@janusfox It's not it's quite counterintuitive. Think of it like this, the weight of the water is resting on the ground, the pressure is equal at every point at the same depth. Therefor the wall only has to be strong enough to counter the pressure, makes no difference what the surface area of the pool is.

@janusfox Pressure's the same, force of course is multiplied by area (that's how hydraulics work) but it makes no difference what the area of the pool is for the pressure.
