Watching the ABC news currently and the Vet has brought a cat with them. the cat has completely derailed the conversation as it proceeds to go for an adventure. This is the first time in a VERY long time that I've watched televised news and shit times have changed!

It’s so nice to get to Brisbane Airport and EduRoam just connects. Thank you internet gods!

@Heather @hugh the email went to the primary contact for the trove membership. I would be interested to hear what repercussions there are for libraries. We evaluated today and realised it would be minimal/no impact to our collection and cataloguing.

Today has been a great day. Need more days like today please.

@decryption the Death Star/Half Golf Ball building is stunning. Their conference room up the top has amazing views too.

@Heather oh this is so good to hear! Thank you for passing on the feedback! At the moment we’re not hearing much about how it’s actually going and mostly “why can’t I get in” so it’s hard to gauge if people are enjoying it. So thank you! I do appreciate it!

So we pressed the Go-Live button on the Trove Partners Resource Sharing platform and I’m exhausted. It’s been a true joy to work on though. We are staggering the release of access and I’m so glad we did!

If anyone had questions please do ping.

Also, I’m so proud that our national library picked CAVAL and Index Data to provide and support a fully open source solution for this. It was an absolute shock given the predecessor and our competitors. We are small fish in comparison but damn we dedicated our hearts and souls into this.

Hi everyone, I've created a Signal chat group for anyone working in resource sharing in Australasia. My hope is that we can support each other in our rather niche corner of the library industry and engage in discussions, tips, tricks, news, and anything else.

Please share this with anyone you know who might be interested. Thank you!

Miro Boards are terrible.

There I've said it.

@clareifications for a minute there I thought the same thing but then realised that it was perfect because it showed that he didn’t need it and pen and paper still helped him call the election.

Thanks Antony Green 🙌🏻 I have very fond memories of his deep dive into the science behind the election predictions at Linux Conf Au Online 2022 - worth adding to a list to watch! #auspol #ausvotes

Thanks Antony Green. Election Day will not be the same without you.

This has been grabbing my attention all evening so I finally measured it out to confirm what I thought. Sorry.

A cropped screenshot of the ABC live broadcast. Several blocks of content and titles are across the bottom of the screen. One block does not line up with the rest.

@root dammit! Now I can’t unsee it!
