People like to think Asimov predicted the current technology known as "artificial intelligence". They are wrong. It was Douglas Adams when a computer spent untold resources just to return an answer which is both irrelevant and poses further questions.

So, I held a seminar at @revisionparty highlighting some insights from my (our!) work in online spaces and beyond, and some of the initiatives we're currently looking at also with @demonights to make the #demoscene more accessible for people, without taking away from the competitive aspects and focus on quality that goes into our productions. On my way home after an incredibly valuable few conference days in Belgrade, speaking to and working with researchers from all over Europe, who are actively looking into the #demoscene and other digital cultures.
A lot to share in the coming months, mainly through the @demonights account, as usual. :)
For now, my heart goes out to the tens of thousands of protesters in the city, many of which had to come by walking for multiple days after the (yet) president tried to block all major access to the city.

It's been very touching to walk amongst this tens-of-thousands-fold cry for justice and democracy the last two days, especially compared to the complacency in my home country/ies, who are just "orderly and slowly" but ever shifting towards equally corrupt structures.
