I wouldn’t apply it to social media posts necessarily, but I would say that being able to demonstrate that a real person did some real work helps elevate other content. Think of it like a normal reference. Except instead of having a link and expecting the reader to verify it, the writer has an embedded clip of themselves actually encountering it and explaining their thought process.

It doesn’t mean the conclusion is right or wrong. It’s just honest about process.

I know there are a lot of folks in here who are anti-Elon. And I get that. But how do we deal with the fact that space is happening one way or another. And the impact is likely to wildly exacerbate things like wealth inequality if we resign ourselves to the self fulfilling prophecy that space is only for states and billionaires. That attitude just lets them have it. We need space to be a political issue now. Not wait half a century and then try to fight even more entrenched interests.

Hey thanks for responding. It doesn’t involve AI. It’s a solution to identifying the explosion of fast content that will be generated with AI. In journalism folks have been looking for a way to regain trust. And now in other areas people are looking for a way to identify which stuff has been written by a real person. The solution in both cases is just a simple human driven one. Show the journey. Basically the article is talking about research transparency.

Our future in #space being dominated by established interests is a self fulfilling prophecy we must break.
