and they only really appear on 45mph stroads

all because people drive even more aggressively if you’re waiting in the left travel lane and they don’t want to wait 30 seconds for you to turn home

and afaik they only exist in the us and canada

(i prefer to just go overshoot, turn right at a light, turn around in a parking lot and turn left at the light to come around and go where i need to go unless there’s no traffic)

the center lane can be used in both directions but only to turn left between traffic lights

it’s single dotted yellow if both sides can pass, and one solid/one dotted with the dotted side being allowed to pass

and a single solid yellow on the left shoulder of divided highways

the thruway may have gotten rid of toll booths, but the entrance and exit ramps are the same configuration and very very confusing

it’s funny how I-90 is basically tolled everywhere east of wisconsin (except for the tiny bit in pennsylvania) but most of it isn’t
