Have the same issue myself every year. I think the key is picking leaves early. And keeping them out of blazing heat

Had this a few years ago and it was poor pollination. I had them in a greenhouse at the time. Once I moved them outdoors the following year and surrounded by flowers they gave a huge harvest. Could be that?
