Cool. It reminds me of all the ways people represented the CSS decryption back then.
Bad humour. Worse Programmer.
I gave up on "progress" a long time ago so now I'm in the engine room of an overheated old starship running around maintaining the ship, loosening a pressure valve here and there, patching the haul and improving the engine. No way in hell I'm going to submit to the dark empire of bad software and subscription services. I'm a free man! Wait.. gotta go something is overheating again.. shit!

It's easy to understand why they chose not to cite a finnish court ruling from 2007, who said this about a real DRM protection, CSS (DVD).
"CSS protection can no longer be considered an effective technological measure referred to in the law. A consequence of this is that the constituent elements of a misdemeanour of violating a technological measure are not fulfilled. Therefore the charge must be dismissed."

Awesome!

It is objectively bullshit. youtube-dl is not helping circumvent "effective technological measures". It can extract the links to the streams from webpages. It can not break DRM.
Anyone could find those links by opening the built-in network inspector of a browser and run ffmpeg -i <url> -map 0 -c copy stream.ts
It's clearly a case for the EFF.
@polarisfm
Yup, it's a git clone --mirror of osuv, made ready to torrent for infinite disobedience ;)
The .onion will only be up until I go to bed and I can't seed the torrent myself because crappy interweb :(
@polarisfm
A torrent with complete bare repo with all branches packed in a ~165MiB 7z up for a few hours.

Nobody gets hacked!
@amolith
Very cool! Did not know that.
Aww shit.. beware of stomach cramps. I have one now from laughing.
@alex
Wat!? I don't know Kubernetes (sounds too complex for me), but I run a few containers in bare LXC and they are exposed on a bridge interface, which I can forward to any port on the public interface with two iptables commands, one for PREROUTING and one for POSTROUTING, if I need to.

The easiest userspace sandboxing I know of is firejail.
@blackernel
afaik a snap is just a squashfs filesystem, so you could probably mount it and run it or permanently extract the content to a folder.
@ioy
I was trying to finish Lion King in a patched DOSBox with savestates and my shortcuts kept interfering with the DOSBox defaults. Alt + F5 saves, in my WM it kills a window.
It happens regularly with software, so I decided it was time to isolate all my WM shortcuts by having them use super as a base (as no programs I've encountered do that). Now they will (hopefully) never interfere with a program again.
I made one exception. Alt + Tab is still Alt + Tab.
