they cleaned up all their gang shit, arrested almost everybody in the span of a month or so. Kind of insane how much work went into cleaning their little speck of land.
look up Nayib Bukele. High respect.
Ever since it was cleaned up, there is an open offer for easy access for 'smart people', to paraphrase. As far as I'm aware, its the only country to actually clean up and become respectable in my lifetime.
@Cyrillic @Soy_Magnus @Forestofenchantment @ube
my points in wisdom were high enough to know to not get into conventional programming jobs when everyone thought that was the direction I was going. Ended up getting into machining/manufacturing and stayed with it for 20 years. Still somewhat salty that I've been underpaid for most of those years, but whatever. The world can crash and die, I will live.
I'm almost willing to go to El Savador to take their "smart people only" general offer.
@Cyrillic @Soy_Magnus @Forestofenchantment @ube
neh, I mostly just don't care, never bothered to find a free one.
Too busy teaching myself how to program, designing and building rocket engines for fun, MLP soap making as a hobby business, server administration for shits and giggles, and making everyone else's stuff for a profession.
I'd guess I'd score relatively high, but really, I don't care.

I've never taken an IQ test.
@ThatWouldBeTelling @Dan_Ramos @picofarad @adam
so what larger companies do is essentially make the soap 55% real soap and 45% synthetic cleaners (detergents) and call it soap.
I get all my ingredients locally and actually fresh.
@ThatWouldBeTelling @Dan_Ramos @picofarad @adam
Sorry, fell asleep right after that comment and had a long day of work. Making a batch of soap right now to make the day even longer.
At least the ingredient list is "clean". Most places use powdered goat milk, but some use "fresh". I don't see a reason for it either way. Clay is probably added for the color.
The legal definition of soap is "mostly made of natural ingredients", and not all ingredients need to be listed...
@Dan_Ramos @adam
I'm calling it now: the soap is a fake.
take a picture of the ingredients if you can.

also it wouldn't matter if "we" are self-aware. Still no shits given.

Most people don't understand the 1/2 dozen or so brony subcultures. Some are much more free than others. pone.social is the most free of them. I started making soap as a shitpost - https://pone.social/@soapone/112945164103497848 and turned into a nice product because most of us have extremely strong shitposting powers.
I actually get a ton of feedback on the quality of the soap and snowpity essence (fragrance spray bottles), believe it or not
@djsumdog @MareFair
https://www.bulkapothecary.com/glycerin/?searchid=32333343
$20 for a gallon, $82 for 5 gallons
Basically just add high-proof nitric acid to get nitroglycerin. I haven't gone shopping for nitric acid in a long time, but it shouldn't be too difficult because its used industrially (anodizing, passiving stainless, etc.). But maybe it would be difficult to get it in pure enough form, not sure.
Also with fight club there would be no quality difference between different high saturated fat from mammals.
@djsumdog @MareFair
not really. Glycerine can be purchased very cheaply and is much cheaper and easier to just buy instead of make yourself from salting the soap. It also affects how the soap feels. Because of commercial facilities only making components, a large soap manufacture might buy those components and add back some glycerine that was removed. It's why you sometimes see glycerine as an ingredient.
Also anything is an explosive when you nitrate it (normally with nitric acid)
Finally made the soap stamps for @MareFair sponsor soap bars yesterday. Today I'm making the first two batches of soap.
They ordered 9-10 batches of soap which would be 76-85lbs of oil made into soap.
Hopefully the stamps work out (I think they will)
@Hyperhidrosis
machine shops are hiring everywhere.
@ricy the signiture looks like an ant on her hoof until I zoom in
I approve.
@rjdiasio @Dan_Ramos
I don't know any of the context of this event, had to ask.
@Dan_Ramos
was he brown?
