The downfall is storage is not upgrade able, and the navigation can be slow compared to other smart devices that give us instant gratification. The internet browser is limited but to me the point of an ereader is having zero distractions (no social media, games, apps)

@cosullivan for strictly reading, I throughly enjoy my kindle paperwhite. The battery lasts a loooooong time. it’s the perfect size for travel, I can download PDFs (other formats too I believe), access good reads, and the ink and front light are suitable for less eye strain and no blue light! I believe it’s now waterproof and has larger storage since I bought mine ~4 years ago.
