Startup investors are clueless. They worked at a corp that did well, so they think they're brilliant.
Most cannot separate bull vs. genius. To them, every pitch is: "we cured cancer, but need $10 mil and 1 yr to prove it... then it'll be worth $100B!"
Every single pitch.
When you found a startup, the initial costs are high, so you target high-paying users. Then, under pressure to reduce prices and grow the business, you remove features that matter, to save money. The end result? A product that users depend on which no longer serves their needs. This is the dilemma of the start up world.
Flow batteries may be the future of power grids. The charging electrodes are central, but power is stored in fluid that flows away into ordinary storage tanks. So, unlike fixed capacity lithium batteries, to make a battery bigger just add tanks.
