But once she does….I have about 6 friends who she gets SO excited to see that she pees. One friend has named it the flirt & squirt. 🤪

The pupper and I took a road trip to the west cost of the Algarve Portugal last week. I wanted to see the far southwestern tippy-tip-tip of Portugal—and the southwestern edge of continental Europe.

We stayed in Sagres, Portugal for 4 days. Sagres is a beer brand (🍺) and a coastal town in Portugal (🇵🇹). This amuses me. 😂

Rigby is becoming a great travel dog. She likes to sit up front in her puppy booster seat. I’ve wanted one ever since I saw pics from the road trip @Sqlswimmer took with her dog.

Oh my goodness, Outlook is so much better with Copilot turned off. It was feeling intrusive. All of the in-app prompts to summarize or rewrite things for me were just annoying.

Ok, rant over now.

A baby bird managed to land on my porch, but seemed afraid to go anywhere else. After about 15 minutes, the baby bird finally found the gumption to quit squawking and fly away with mama. Super cute. 😍

@SQLAllFather Yes, I do think so. My dog loves cats. So we shall see. Oh…neighbor kitty is a boy named Candy. 😂

@SQLAllFather You’ll laugh that my the neighbor cat wandered into my apartment from the balcony next door (my kitchen balcony doors were open a little for the breeze). The cat just came walking into the living room to investigate. My dog was on the couch but didn’t notice…I popped Rigby into her crate quickly & followed the cat, but it ran off. I’ve since found out from the owner that he’s sweet but timid. So we shall see how this drama plays out. 😆

Just found this lovely drone video of our hometown here in Portugal. It’s really fun to see everything (like our apartment & the park where we walk every day) from a different perspective.

@SQLAllFather Hmmm, what’s not to love about all that white stuff?!? 🤔 My February is just a wee bit different.

BTW, guess I should mention that I certainly wish there weren’t strays. I just choose to not be ticked off about them all the time (thank goodness my dog doesn’t go ballistic around them). There are folks who put out food and water. Unfortunately the local shelter is (heartbreakingly) way over capacity. So they’ll catch them, neuter them, and release them again with a nicked ear to indicate that’s been done.

There are some stray cats where I live. They like to hang out on/under/around parked cars. They’ve learned our human behavior so well that they don’t even hop off until I start the car. In this pic…I already put my dog in the back seat & this fella was still hoping to not be disturbed. 😆

One of the other neighborhood cats is especially beautiful and I see at least 3 different ladies that sit on a bench in the park with him daily. He does come running when one of his visitors arrives which is cute.

@Sqlgene @SQLAllFather Man oh man do I relate to you talking about the grind to get it done. No question that I loved doing it…but it’s only now (with the perspective of time) that I can see how hard the process of content creation really was. I hope you’re successful in finding better balance.

@louisa_ My husband and I have said many times this year that raising a puppy is hard! (Or harder than we remember I suppose since we’re middle-aged this time around LOL.) So there will be many frustrating moments…but you’ve got this.

@louisa_ Oh gosh. The old ‘progress isn’t linear’ reminds me to just be patient. I think a lot of the annoying stuff they just naturally outgrow regardless if I feel successful with training efforts. Good luck with your puppy!

Rigby is 1 year old today! 🐾 1️⃣ 🥳 She is growing up to be an amazing dog. She’s starting to exhibit “real dog” behaviors (though there’s still plenty of foolish puppy mixed in too 🤪).

She’s always ready and willing to play. Her most favorite thing in the world is a ball. 🎾 Even better…a ball on the beach. 🏝️

She’s a mighty fine couch cuddler. She'll paw at our legs to demand...ahem, request...to get under a warm cozy blanket. 🥰

Rigs is an insanely curious pupper. Which means she gets called a nosy-butt pretty often. I'm VERY thankful she's too short to be a counter-surfer. 😆
