@benfmaier it resonates, it is a struggle, multidisciplinarity has become a jargon word for PR and rarely valued in practice. Perhaps places/jobs that specifically mention systemic thinking and complexity might work. Also, highlighting the value of multidisciplinary thinking in your application might help, particularly for sectors/problems that are not easily confined in silos.

Measuring behavior change from social media is key to understand how online interactions can promote positive practices. We surveyed the behaviors and observational techniques that researchers have used so far to capture behavior change online: arxiv.org/abs/2310.19951

Most studies focused on Twitter and change in the expression of basic emotions, often wrt COVID. An opportunity for exploring new datasets and behavior types.

We are looking for volunteers to help us in different areas. A lot of interesting and challenging work 💪 awaits on the open-source, community-built road to the best, fastest 🚀, easy-to-use 👴👵🧒, and privacy-focused maps.

If we get enough money, we can significantly speed up the development by hiring a full-time team and rewarding the most active contributors. If we get more users, we get more donations. Donate and spread the word 💸!

Let's call it Organic Crowdfunding 💰

Mastodon is funded by users like you.

No, this isn't just a parody of the old PBS tagline. Your server is likely running thanks to some dedicated volunteers, not some vague venture capital nonsense, and donating a few dollars a month does a lot to keep things running.

Check your server's about page for a Patreon, Ko-Fi, or other donation links to help keep things going!
