@Elisa I’m not running it, but I think it could be next-gen sequencing or MOFs. Both will win at some point.
@Elisa sorry ☹️
@buerviper @steph Possibly - I think others have done that or at least tried it; but it's just a pain... I mean, my list is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qdJvHHvu-BC4N6nk1jNMhTwoBrIaqHLUCZRf9pCQwDs/edit?usp=sharing people should be able to do something with column C or column G, but it's a faff...
@steph Yeah; last time I checked, lists aren't a thing here. You can make your own list, but cannot share it...
@steph This might help, but it is far from perfect... https://mastodon.social/@stuartcantrill/109371611641196008
@cyrus Was talking about that with the chap in the shop; I think it was bought back, but maybe by a group of vignerons...
Nature Chemical Engineering is launching in early 2024, but in the meantime, here is a curated collection of 40 articles from across the Nature Portfolio to highlight the potential breadth and scope of the journal.

@Theorem_Poem 12345678910987654321 is a prime number
Well, that’s a first. Got to Kings Cross and train cancelled (that’s not a first, sadly), so decided to grab some take-away dinner to eat outside. Moment I step in the shop, a fellow customer (crazy-haired elderly chap) tells me how I’m ruining my health and giving myself heart disease. No, not because of the food at Wasabi, but because I’m wearing a mask. He continues to tell me about his friend at Pfizer who agreed with him & how masks do nothing. I politely disagree with (& then ignore) him.
@GetzlerChem I think so, but not had one (yet)
Time for a boulevardier!
@AlexGBardsley I’m a huge #SousVoile fan; vin jaune is a favourite of mine and I usually manage a few days in Arbois/Poligny each summer and pick up a few dozen bottles from the region. Just this one was even more than a little out of the ordinary…
Having a clear-out of the CDs from my (mostly misspent) youth; shame I never saw New Model Army live (saw the rest though). These later Mission albums mostly shit, but I’m keeping the earlier ones… currently blasting them out courtesy of Apple Music…
Check it out! Dave Smith, Peter O'Brien and co-workers at York University have developed gels that make organolithiums stable under ambient conditions FOR OVER 20 DAYS :pika: :pika:
It's a total game-changer for synthesis in academia and industry. Imagine the applications!
My latest article for Chemistry World: https://www.chemistryworld.com/news/gel-capsules-make-reactions-with-organolithiums-simpler-and-safer/4017007.article
Well, this one was a little challenging; tasted like a strong flat cider - not unpleasant, but probably not a buy again. Picked it up in #Arbois as it’s an unusual grape, but also #SousVoile
Some gutsy product placement decisions at Costco today: #chemistry
