Ich fand die westliche Staumauer am #Edersee ja so schon beeindruckend genug, nach Einbruch der Dämmerung wird sie dann noch beleuchtet. Ok, kann man machen.

Staumauer am Edersee nach Sonnenuntergang. Der Horizont leuchtet noch orange unter einem Wolkensteins dunkelblauen Himmel. Im Vordergrund dunkel die Staumauer, wobei die schmückenden Torbögen im oberen Bereich farbig - hier gelb - beleuchtet sind. Die Beleuchtung spiegelt sich unterhalb der Staumauer im angestauten Wasser.

I’m reading the Silo trilogy right now (the one Apple TV‘s series is based on), so at first glance I thought of an open port to an abandoned subterranean silo 😬

BYOROB (Bring your own rest of bike)

A lonely bike tire, securely locked to a bike rack at a train station. The rest of the bike is missing, though.

Ein Trampelpfad durch hohes Gras an einem kleinen Kanal entlang, links scheint ein Wald, jenseits des Kanals mehr Wiese. Alles liegt unter einem locker bewölkten, freundlichen Himmel.

Ein Weg führt in einer Kurve nach links zwischen zwei großen, rostigen, runden, bauchigen Industriebauten (Teleskopgasbehälter) hindurch, rechts im Vordergrund noch eingerahmt durch einen Baum. Im Hintergrund ragt ein noch viel größeres Gebäude in die Höhe, grau und nicht verrostet (Scheibengasbehälter)

Our regular visitor is slowly getting a bit more trusting.

Frisch gebackene Brötchen, in einem mit einem weißen Tuch ausgelegten Brotkorb. Sie werden zum Teil von einer noch niedrig stehenden Sonne beschienen, was in starkem Kontrast steht zu dem unscharfen, dunklen Grün im Hintergrund. Offenbar eine Szene von einem Frühstück im Freien.

Ein Weg oder eine schmale Straße in einer leichten Linkskurve durch hohe Laubbäume, deren Laub von fahlem Grün über gelb bis zu braun die ganze Herbstpalette zeigen. Der Weg ist großteils von herabgefallenem Laub bedeckt. Die ganze Szene steckt in dichtem, aber hellem Nebel.

This is gorgeous.

More gloominess today, before it gets back to 30 °C on the weekend.

An old footbridge with wooden planks and a rusty handrail at one side. On the other side, a greenish metal fence separates pedestrians from the railway. At the end of the footbrodge a St. Andrew’s cross and a red signal indicate a railway crossing. Trees build almost a tunnel as the path continues. It looks like a bit of mist is in the air.

What a gloomy commute that was today. After a couple of weeks of pure summer weather I really enjoyed this first sign of autumn.

A small, wet road that leads straight to the horizon, which is loaded with heavy rain clouds. Empty farmland to the left and right of the road and nothing but a few trees and power lines at the horizon. The right of the road reflects the little light there is, like a (very dim) light strip. Everything is very grey.
