Ted Simon was in his early 40’s when he set out on that Triumph in 1973. Reading it now in my early 40s, in another country, another century, I can relate so much to his outlook, especially when he talks about his personal (inner) journey.

Took the borrowed for a wash. Then took her for an errand run to Kakkanad + a short glorious scenic ride back via the Kadambrayar route. Roads and trees so clean and green with little traffic, and bursts of sunshine. Joy.
