Yes! Pocket paint is pretty decent, though their text/font support is subpar

I have talked with this person... It was not pleasant.

I was really hoping for at least smooth map panning and sprite movement, maybe a few frames of animation...

Oh my God.
I’ve just realised what ChatGPT reminds me of. It’s from Douglas Adams’ novel Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, published 35 years ago.

Whenever I make box Mac&cheese with those they tend to get stuffed with powder that doesn't quite get fully mixed into the sauce, so there's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There was one site I used that also wouldn't let you remove your only payment method. Cant update, can't, remove, can't add...

I've been preferring fedilab vs tusky, but I still have both installed.
The Pillars of Creation appear in a fuller palette of infrared light, thanks to #NASAWebb! Near-infrared captures stars that are fully formed and still emerging from these spires. Mid-infrared light reveals the dust—see the orange and indigos: https://webbtelescope.pub/3UlVA5A
Turns out it was SF, not Detroit that introduced robocop. #worsttimelineproblems

I think one of the interesting bits about the federated model is that you can have a gateway for just about any service to allow crossposting from the federated app, thouth you might lose out on certain "native" features.

Very cool. I saw this video a while back on a version I've been meaning to play with for a while called lenia

Now the traditional 2D CA example is Conway's game of life, but I had just been working with floats to much more exciting effect and wanted to continue with that. Turns out when you get to floating point (continuous) CA in 2D, you end up doing a _lot_ of pixel lookups! To get any of this stuff in realtime, I had to move my code from the CPU over to shaders. And yeah, continuous 2D has gliders too :)
If you've ever wondered how a sewing machine works, this video actually shows it off.
I grew up around sewing machines, my mom raised me by being a costumer, upholsterer, tailor, and even a clothing business at one point. And I have a compulsion to figure out how things work, but for my 35 year life I haven't been able to figure out how the bobbin stays in without interfering with the needle thread. This actually explains the magic.
