Bye. Hoping you'll set up dual posting. I don't have much hope for BS.

I post both of my Explorers and they still click closed. No cap seal issues. They're about 4 and 2 years old.

Heh, WOL. I'd forgotten about that. Nice dig at traditional wisdom.

I have 2, Schuylkill and Original Plus. They look good and perform well. I've handled a couple of their higher end models and those write beautifully with fantastically good looks.

I also really like the narwal logo.

I absolutely love the old TR. The new stuff is good but there are batches with low quality pages or parts of pages. I think it's getting better. It's worth trying.

I think Sailor makes some good limited and special editions. I like some of the Manyo series with matching finials. The ones with special nibs are cool, like the Rockhopper Penguin.

@Axiom
I bought a couple scythes but don't use them much anymore. They work. They're work. You learn about honing and peening the blade. My acre was just too much though. Maybe i should work a smaller area. (Fun fact, the acre was meant to mean how much area a person could cut in a day.)

I always imagine the neighbors saying, "oh that's Mr Death. He's some sort of reaper."

Sample photo. Top paper is absorbent, Anderson Pens pad (RIP) The bottom is less absorbent, Kokuyo pad. Both are fountain pen friendly but still different. The Aero and E95 are between the Platinum 02 and 03 in my experience. Preppy is the same nib you have. Sorry, I don't have my Plasir inked.

And you can clean out cartridges and refill with bottled ink if you don't have a converter. A blunt syringe helps.

Glad to hear you got it going. I have the Plasir with the 02 nib. The paper and ink also affect line width. Try a coated paper like Midori or Tomoe River for finer lines. The trade off is slightly longer dry time.

Ouch. What is it? You may be able to fit a feed or find a used donor pen to take the feed from.

Any of my Sailor, Pilot or Platinum pocket pens. They're thin, capable, and a little surprising.
