Out Database was migrated successfully. We will go offline a second time now for the actual mastodon upgrade. See you on the other side :)

Migrating the database will take approximately 30 minutes and ac.social will be down during that time, so we will wait for the next maintenance window next Thursday.

Fun fact: The database dump is 8GB uncompressed (28.470.257 lines) :floppy:

Upgrade to Mastodon 4.4 will have to wait for another week. We have to first get the database to a new server and that requires some preparation and a short downtime.

Mastodon 4.4 was released and we will migrate to the new release as soon as the dust settles a bit and we had a chance to test it properly. Stay tuned!

#FunFact: Die Datenbank unserer Instanz enthält 5.842.474 posts von 234.852 accounts verteilt auf 13.947 Instanzen. Man bräuchte 8248 :floppy: Disketten um diese Datenbank zu speichern. Möchte man die ganzen Bilder und Videos auch auf Diskette haben, wären das 97849 Disketten.
