Trump lies. No subsidy cheque has ever been cut for the Canadian government. He's talking about budget deficit, which is 40-45 billion not 250. And if you take raw crude out of the equation, the deficit become a surplus. That crude is refined in the US.

Hey y'all across the fediverse. I'm looking for a platform instance that is reliable and supports more than 500 character posts and post edits, I guess #pleroma, #friendica, #diaspora? I like friendica but the instances I've tried are suffering performance wise and are unusable.

Interested in anyone's thoughts on this who lives on one an instance on one of the above platforms. Trying not to try 20 different instances before finding one that works well.

@gcvsa @rchusid they could even just do something like enforce voter ID at pollbooth, kill off postal voting, and this one wouldn't surprise me, drum up so much anti-democrat fervour, similar to what prompted capital hill, such that armed militia decide to patrol polling booths to tacitly ensure voting isn't rigged but in reality to intimidate democratic voters not to attend.

@hiisikoloart it's not for cross posting (posting to two platforms at once). It means you can have a presence there but follow people on mastodon. and vice versa people on mastodon can follow your pixelfed account without having to have a pixelfed account themselves

@atomicpoet I've been trying to find a friendica instance that works and not having much luck. I've only tried three I guess, but it's still disheartening. Federation isn't working on friendica.world - posts there aren't appearing on mastodon instances for example when I follow the user. The other two I tried are so slow they are unusable.

I hope this doesn't happen, but wouldn't surprise me at the rate Trump is going he's going to try and make NASA change up the Artemis crew on the basis this was a "DEI" hire, or some crap like that.
