My solution: vmware fusion or vbox with windows installed and running winamp.
The system is designed to make psychopaths successful and powerful.
they added recommendations. that’s when i stopped using it. i wanted a way to bookmark entire sites at once and then they started scraping the stuff i saved. then moz bought it and now the recommendation feature is the only thing they’re keeping around.
Worst part is even after this idiot destroys his own company, he can just claim he was responsible for the highest ever peak stock share price (before he caused the decline).
Why don’t they just open it up to let people run their own Pocket services? The usual “proprietary code” excuses make no sense for an organization like Mozilla and it’s being end of lifed anyway. Just dump it on a repo somewhere and let people hack on it if they want to. Why isn’t this part of the sunsetting plan?
It would actually have to listen to legal and marketing, can you imagine? No other private school baby could ever compete with that.
They’re likely moving to focus on Thundermail.com, VPN, calendar, private cloud storage, etc… Like Proton Mail does.
Nothing, if you want to only play 1 at a time. From the file app you can play an mp3 with no issue. But that is all, you play a single mp3 file, and hten it closes when it is finished playing. I have yet to find a decent app that plays MP3s like you would want to do for listening to music.
Thanks for posting this, this is very helpful
I’ve paid for the year, so I’ll do my damnedest to run up their gippity bill.
Furthermore, I don’t see the point in Fakespot since Amazon bends over backwards to accept returns for any reason.
Why go through that hassle if you can avoid it in the first place?
“Emailing large numbers of employees about any topic not related to work is not appropriate. We have an established forum for employees who have opted in to political issues,” says Microsoft spokesperson Frank Shaw in a statement to The Verge. “Over the past couple of days, a number of politically focused emails have been sent to tens of thousands of employees across the company and we have taken measures to try and reduce those emails to those that have not opted in.”
Work email is a tool provided by the company to be used for work topics. Some employees are apparently using this tool to send unrelated emails to people who didn’t sign up for it, but still have to deal with it somehow because they are probably required to check their email.
The company trying to reduce this seems reasonable to me, I’m surprised that so many people seem to take offense at it.
I ended my streak and uninstalled a while ago. It went downhill when they got rid of the discussion section for the exercises. Add to that stupid sentences I most likely wouldn’t say in the real world .
It’s not just that it was useless to some people, it was a genuine security risk. OpenBSD’s port of Firefox has it disabled by default, and LibreWolf strips it out of the browser entirely.
