I'm going to try that new strategy for getting work done that I've been putting off, called "Sit down and do the work." It sounds crazy but I'm willing to give it a go.

I'm pleased to announce a student and researcher resource I've been working on. Keywords for Studying Media, Culture & Information: An Index. textaural.com/keywords/

It was largely inspired by
Ted Striphas' article "Algorithmic Culture" and Nicholas John's ICA talk about sharing.

The offset project by @tegabrain reminds me of something I would have seen in Kim Stanley Robinson's _Ministry for the Future_. offset.labr.io

I am so pleased to see the work of my colleague Jakko Kemper publish on "frictionless technology." It's such a useful concept.

Is there a good tool for grabbing (all?) versions of a URL from the Wayback Machine and then run an automated comparison?

Kudos to Internet Policy Review! They've designed their website policyreview.info with a **dyslexia reading mode.**

In September, I let them know they could improve the mode further by using Atkinson Hyperlegible, a font designed by the Braille Institute specifically for low vision readers.

I'm quite pleased that they just implemented my suggestion.

Really excited to share that a story I co-wrote with @a_yung_@twitter.com & @moneerukonda@twitter.com is out, as part of @datasociety@twitter.com's anthology, “Parables of AI in/from the Majority World”: datasociety.net/wp-content/upl

It's about the lived experiences of platform-mediated delivery work in S. India...1/6

@Gekker Looks great! I'm playing around with the idea of a special topic on "Designing Digital Knowledge" for the UvA Media Research course. This looks like a perfect candidate for the reading list!

🚨 New OA🔓publication alert!🚨
This - AFAIC - is the first analysis of Google Maps' Covid layer (might also be the last, as the feature was shut down in September). I work through media studies and critical cartography to understand what it actually DID.
