SOLID RUMOR: A known scooper is reporting that Daniel Day Lewis is being considered for the role of Magneto in the #MCU. People may wonder why, since he apparently retired from acting, but he has returned to star in a recent movie with his son. Whether or not he will continue acting is still up in the air. If this is true, it could be HUGE. This man is widely considered to be one of the BEST ever and this would be GOD TIER casting. 👑
SOLID RUMOR: The HOT MIC podcast (who first announced Harrison Ford would be Ross) just announced that Daisy Edgar Jones (Twisters) is in talks to play Jean Grey once the #MCU reboots the X-Men. Another SOLID casting (if true). 💥
SOLID RUMOR: Patrick Schwarzenegger has been spotted on the set of 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' (that part's a fact) and the rumor is he's going to be our new Cyclops once the #MCU reboots the X-men. It's possible he may be a one-off variant or something, but this is exactly the kind of casting Marvel Studios is focused on for their next big phase. If true, I think it's great. He's an underrated actor and he could really give us an interesting Scott Summers. 😎

I partially agree. I think it would be fine if they did, but I wouldn't be mad if they kept Fassbender and MacAvoy as Magneto and Xavier. I would just want to see Fassbender with white hair.
Just a heads up! We're about to see a TON of casting rumors for the new #MCU X-MEN, including a lot of big names being named.
Take everything you see with a grain of salt, unless it's an official announcement or it comes from a respected source (like DEADLINE or Variety).
Randos on REDDIT don't have the inside scoop, so don't fall for it. Expect this all summer long, or until #MarvelStudios puts us out of our misery and makes a huge announcement.
We are in PRE-PRODUCTION of the MCU X-MEN film. This is where the team is being gathered.
We already have a script, penned by Michael Lesslie, which worries me slightly. I never saw the Hunger Games film he wrote (Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes or smn), but I did unfortunately see 'Assassin's Creed.' That one had more problems than the script, though.
Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*) is in talks to direct, and he could save a mediocre script. 🤔
Sometime this year, 'IRONHEART' is going to drop on #DisneyPlus. MARVEL really dropped the ball with this show. For starters, it was filmed so long ago the entire plot was leaked and there aren't any secrets left. Second, Riri isn't as popular as she was years ago. This really should have dropped right after 'WAKANDA FOREVER' to strike while the iron was hot (pun intended).

THR broke that Ryan Reynolds is working on the script for a Deadpool/X-men crossover film. He's working on this separately from Marvel Studios and plans to pitch it to Feige once it's done.
This could be really good, but I'd rather he wait until the new X-men film is written and tie it into the MCU properly. We can be done with the multiverse stuff once 'SECRET WARS' is done. 🤔

So, 'AVENGERS DOOMSDAY' began filming today and I have to say I'm a little worried about how quickly we're moving to the next BIG tentpole. I trust Feige and the Russos, but it feels like they are trying to recapture the success of 'INFINITY WAR' and 'ENDGAME' without as much of the build-up as those films got. I hope I'm wrong. I really want to see 'DOOMSDAY' and 'SECRET WARS' blow us all away. 😬

Say what you want about that #MARVEL live stream last week, but it certainly got everyone talking. That was the goal, so I would say mission accomplished. At one point, there were like 270 million people watching, so all the haters who were mad, I don't get you. They could have said nothing (like most studios) until the film was finished. You get a tease and you're all like, 'FUCK!! THIS IS BULLSHIT!!' 😅

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard the 'Taylor Swift Will Be Dazzler in the MCU' rumor, I'd be a very rich man. It always comes up anytime casting rumors start up again.
I guess I'll address it again. For the record, I don't care. I've never been attached to Dazzler and I don't think I've ever met anyone who is. This #fancasting is just fine with me.
