Idiots across the world who vote for authoritarians don't realise that the reason the vast majority of humans concluded that authoritarianism is awful wasn't only because it comes with impunity, murder, torture, rape and other crimes.

It wasn't only because it was inhumane, disgusting, unfair and morally wrong.

It was also because it makes us all poorer, and invariably ends in widespread fighting, destruction and misery.

@maxleibman yeah, I'm just overwhelmed right now of the things I have to do. I feel so outdated continuously switching context/tools/language/problems. I never have time to acquire a solid experience/knowledge because the need to do something else, solve other problems, help other people.
I wish to be back to be a developer rather than a consultant, where I can learn and apply what I learn and have back some joy in what I do.

I just recently come back from Italy and I was expecting a gestapo style interview reentering (I'm a US Citizen) but actually they didn't even look the passport.
They took the picture and let me go, 30 seconds, not a single question asked.
So I guess my dossier was clean enough (I'm not posing any danger) or they don't know yet about Mastodon.
On the other hand, in Italy before to board the plane, all the process took 5 passport controls.

@jdmcg What is sad is that AI CAN be an incredible powerful and useful tool !
But the "generative" crap pushed in our throat just for greed is what is ruining everything.
We should start a movement to promote a change of name, because the I of AI is what make too many people to think (well ...) to deal with a sentient entity when in fact is NOT !!!!!
It is imperative to KNOW what tool one is using to have answers related to reality.
