Block destruction logic, and even a dropping animation. Took some effort for sure.

@unidentified_mustelid so far I see only one surefire way. Listen to music written before 2024. Back then there were no #music #AI solutions capable of this.
Suddenly I realize that it's not only about pictures.
I keep encountering music channels on Youtube that produce #music using #AI. This one, for instance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIkvQHk_sWM
Sometimes the music is even fine, but dang, the artificial times we live in sadden me deeply. You can no longer distinguish what's made by by humans and what's generated by those stupid machines.
A nice tool for creating a pallette for #pico8 game.

I modified the original Drippy demo Now you can challenge yourself to make a valid barcode readable by an app in your smartphone.
You know how there are those compilations of terrible interfaces all over the Internet? Now this is an example of a worst randomizer ever. 🤣
You can try it out here: https://thenotexpert.com/games/Pico8_demos/drippy/barcode/drippy_barcode.html
@kevin ah, nice to meet you!
I mostly do Go at work nowadays, but still, being able to use something that resembles objects is nice.
Your tutorial on external tools was helpful too ;)
Funny how my first practical tutorial in #Pico8 is OOP mumbo-jumbo.
But still, a good practice. I realize that it might be difficult for most people. But if you know advanced Python, it shouldn't be too hard.

You can try it here, it's just a small demo

My first day with #Pico8, and I have already discovered that it has a hidden palette of additional 16 colors. And it's not so easy to access.
I also added some controls to it that can influence the parameters.
You can check it out here
@betothebop Thanks for the tip ;D
Decided to try out #Pico8. I bought it AGES ago with Humble Bundle, and only now I have discovered a few videos suggesting that it is a good simple tool for gamedev. My attempts with Godot have been quite painful, maybe this will be better.
So far I've only succeeded in modifying a default demo.
I like how many things are built-in: dev suite, exporter, gif recorder...
The problem existing not only in gamedev, but in every creative endeavour.
It's not about having no ideas. It's about having an idea, but not seeing it as worth putting time and effort into, and therefore, giving up before even starting.
Sounds familiar? There doesn't really seem to be a sure-fire way to counter it though.
Playing #RingFitAdventure and #FitnessCircuit makes me think that we definitely need a game like this on PC. An open-source game. But we also need special controllers for it too. Joycons could be used, but maybe something with open architecture or whatever...
Took me long enough. I have no clue how to make it more appealing, I'm no artist. But I'm satisfied with the overall mechanics.
This setup SOMEHOW makes the noise texture animation seamless and infinitely loopable.
Feel free to use it. I have no clue how it works, but it works.
Found a way to make the animation seamless. It involves some black magic. Or rather, mathematics, which work for a reason beyond my comprehension.
A more laminar setting, with less turbulence and chaos.
