#Threads is on BBC Four tonight, 22:20! This is only the 4th time the film has been broadcast on TV. Don't miss it! A milestone of British cinema, 2024 is its 40th anniversary. It remains one of the most chilling & politically astute films ever produced

I watched #TheSubstance. I was extremely underwhelmed. I found it empty & predictable. Its (visual) style was overemphasized so much, it felt like being hit over the head. This went for various plotpoints too, which were often repeated as reminder callbacks, as if trying to explain them to a child.
The Israel pager & walkie-talkie attack is one of the scariest, most demented things that's happened in my lifetime. It's difficult to process, and terrifying to draw out the logical implications.
Mind absolutely blown by this factoid 😲 https://www.instagram.com/p/C_bqpxBux8i/?igsh=MmdtdnJrcDM2ZGN0
One of the most important, and just best, films of all time. Strange that Guardian wants to preempt the original air date by over a week (23rd September is the actual 40th anniversary) but I am here to celebrate #Threads greatness nonetheless
