The old content still appears in search results, and the newly published content either doesn’t get indexed or, even if it does, it doesn’t show up in any search queries

This seems to have started after the most recent update. Traffic has dropped by around 90%, and the same pattern can be seen across all affected sites.

@johnmu @searchliaison @dannysullivan @rustybrick I recently redirected my website to a new domain using a 301 redirect — something I've done at least twice a year without any issues. Everything used to work smoothly. However, the 301 redirect I implemented about a month ago is not performing as expected. The new domain is not ranking at all.

It seems that something has changed with Google’s recent updates regarding 301 redirects. New domains and URLs sometimes get indexed, sometimes not — and even when they do, they tend to rank very low or not appear at all in search results. In many cases, the old domains are still showing up instead. A few of my colleagues are also experiencing similar issues.

Is there something we’re missing here?
