True to the seller’s listing, the APU on the PS5 was completely dry in the middle, explaining why it was constantly overheating.

A quick refresh of the Liquid Metal and hopefully it’s fixed. I mean. It still boots, but I’ll have to do a proper test to see if it still overheats. XD

It’s a public holiday in Japan today. So I figured I’d spend it reapplying Liquid Metal to this dirt cheap PS5 I bought off Mercari. Hopefully I can’t make it any worse. 😅

They were 100% in love with Swift by then, so they were like “Ewwww. Let’s throw this out.” And I was like “No! I’ll take it”. 🥲

Fast forward to today, a coworker interested in adding some code to the Instagram iOS codebase asked me if I had any Objective-C books lying around.

I had just the one. 😂
