@compfu maybe a black white "Now do this with ai" title card, followed by a sequence of all revision (ideally starting with the rough storyboard) until the last final_final_14 revision. :)

More elaborate would be a split screen, where the halfed assed revision steps is tried with ai...including the needed manual interventions.

@yogthos
I give no system a longterm chance if it is not actively and constantly fightng corruption, lobbyism and nepotism.
For me thats a must.

More wealth equality surely helps, but it would be naive to think that this alone would workout in the longterm. Yoii also need equality in power, access and information. At Marx times this was not feaseable, but today it is

You do not see paralells between the last 15 years of the su and todays "free market" ? Becasue I do

@yogthos
Corrupotion is the problem. Either in socialist or in capitalistic systems,
through corruption a system looses its agility to adapt...and will fail.

What we are now experiencing is that capitalism in crisis is exactly like communism in cirsis.

Find a way to keep corruption at low level constantly and you got the perfect system

Well currently drafting another AI article for my webpage
Quickly slapped together an illustration I will use. Made in krita and photoshop (Yes I urgently need to paint more...I'm really getting bad at this)

Hope it conveys my feeling

in a weird way germans speed reduction and americas gun law discussions have a lot in common.
The illusion of freedom vs procen fact that it works in other countries, and a lot of lobbying

little idea struck me today:
My cheap chinese panohead features a slot in the horizontal axis, where I can attach a qr clamp (lever based) with a photoscrew. I could use a ballhead there instead of the move. (so no gain for me here)
BUT I can attach the tablet holder solution to it to display the xrite color checker. So not that bad for a sunday idea.

Posting it for inspiration

also it makes the replacement of my diy lidar with a panohead much easier.

This wasn't brand fetish.

btw the reason I decided to go with manfrotto move instead of the much cheaper rollei system is simple:
Unlike the move wich has a seperate locking ring, the Rollei unlocks by forefuly twisting the Plate.
Thats ok for a lot of cases, but I fear that my panphead would unlock during shooting (unlikely but possible).

And the reason I looked into such system the first place was, to remove the need for a secondary tripod for hdri field trips (backplates):
Just put a ball head in the pocket.

So people buying revopoints metro x scanner have also tracking problems ?

Dear revopoint, you make great hardware for multiple usage scenarios. But tracking mismatch is your big problem. And you userbase seems a bit in denial too.

I used serveral scanners of different brands (smae price), and although they have their pros and cons, none of them I have to fear that much misalignemnt than your scanners
I would recommend you to everyone starting out...but with that issue I can't

rant off.

@compfu thanks...

got a photo negative scanner
its really fun...I mean its a crawling slow process, but to develp myold photos in photoshop (no plugins mainly curves) is reall fun.

And yes those 2 negatives have not been treated well. I decided to scan those who where laying around unsecure in the box first.. Istanbul 96

Ok, longer article on the scangear I'm using...mainly for inspiration:

ok was again a low energy weekend, ideal for braindead stuff: like mass producing my suction cup scan markers

I think I'll call them Scan Daleks, or Scaleks, since the grey hexagonal shape, with those markers gives a bit of a classic doctor who vibe....not to mention the suction cups.

Mass producing those 130 markers was a pain in the fingers (litteraly) and I'm not sure those 20mm suction cup are good enough to hold longer on glass than a few minutes.

Wow, there is actually someone, who updated and maintained the old blend file format reader / parser

while printing my own marker pyramids for 3d scanning, the idea of adding a version with suction cups to those (to put on glass / non ferite metals) came up, and today I did a little previz

More on my scan markers in a more dedicated article in a few weeks

If I would be in my 20ties, I would seriusly look into gaussian splatting and possible hdr support. This might be the next step for environment lighting and 3d composition.

There two problems to solve: How to get hdri support via code, and how to easily capture hdr content for splats.
As for the second, my gut has some ideas, but whenever this happens, I'm sure it can easily explode in a 2-3 year project, wich I currently don't have the time.

After installing Trellis localy, and testing it for a few hours, and with some past experiments with an online mesh generator I'm more and more convinced that 3d generators in their current form, wil become more or less the goto path for generating basemeshes for sculpting.

If something goes wrong you don't loose that much time, while if it works you have saved some hours. And people have less predjudices using them because they are still in control of the creative process and final output.

after reading this:

I decided to implement these despill algorithm into my channel keyer.
The fun stuff (comming up with an algorithm wich is channel agnostic ) is still in the works.
