I have such a strong memory of one of the grad students in college being like “I cannot believe you touched your phone and then ate, phones are gross!” And I was like “I know right, I wipe my phone down every day” and he was like “that’s so weird why would you do that.” I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Phones being gross doesn’t just have to be an immutable fact of life!
