there are of course exceptions but i don't think pbs is terribly meaningful or successful in its mission as a public broadcaster. it's nice to have a tv channel or two that's a little less full throated but if you think nine episode ken burns documentaries about jasper johns or whatever aren't propaganda i need you to go sit on a hill somewhere until you can come back with a little discernment
