@ruthan I made several last night! This may be my new fave quickie sipper. Lighter than a Last Word, and I’m not a fan of whiskey so Paper Plane is kinda meh. But that smoky mezcal and the bitter Aperol with the herbaceous Génépy is just 👨‍🍳 💋!!

A riff on the Last Word and the Paper Plane, this one was new to me, but an instant favorite. Naked & Alone. (I don’t think it’s related to the reality show!) Equal parts Aperol, Génépy (in lieu of Yellow Chartreuse), Mezcal, and lime juice. I didn’t have a lime for the twist garnish. Try it!!

@BootsChantilly Yep!! There was a 28-second window where you could eat it without blistering the roof of your mouth or gagging on the oil-soaked breading. I rarely hit that window, but I tried quite a few times!!

@michaelrowe01 I saw that John Oliver episode, and know HOAs can horrible, but not being able to be outside on Fall afternoons without the droning of leaf blowers is a trade I’ll deal with.

My new home is in an area that is all managed by a homeowners association. I’m not here to judge the pros and cons or efficacy or anything else about this type of organization, but what I will say is that I am at the old home right now and there are probably four leaf blowers in operation at 6 o’clock in the evening. At my new home they all stop at 5 o’clock because the ground crews quit work. That justifies the expense of the HOA to me - that single fact. #noisepollution #Leafblowerssuck

I rarely speak to political races in this space, but I want to point out the NC Attorney General race because it’s so bizarrely skewed. The video just states facts, and, wow, are these facts amazing. The Attorney General is kinda the lawyer for the state and to have someone running who has never tried a single case is a bit odd. @marcoarment I’ve been using this app for years. I actually came here just to tell you about it. They have added a lot of cruft recently, but generally the app gives what you’ve been asking for: easy-to-add items to track and gather data on and how it relates to your sleep. I have over a decade of how I felt at bedtime, whether I drank, ate late, etc. But the flexibility of the alarms is my fave feature.
