Unwatched

RSS Video Player & Watch later Queue for YouTube

@ceiron ideally the app would handle a larger inbox without any issues. I’ll see what I can come up with, maybe it does make sense to only keep the last 100 or so. I doubt that many are scrolling down that far anyways and the videos remain available in the library either way.

@ceiron are you on the most recent version of Unwatched (1.6.4)? It doesn’t automatically clean it up, but it should run better on the most recent version and give you the option to quickly remove most of the videos.

You can always long press on any video and select "clear below", which will remove everything older than the one you selected.

@argent23 It’s there to sync the “new items” indicator between devices and more importantly to no longer miss videos that are directly added to queue. That happened to me a lot.

2025-06-05

@argent23 that removes the "new" indicator, it’s spelled out inside the "more" menu. It automatically gets removed if you interact with the list entry (move to queue, view description, move, …).

@wyldphyre tvOS sadly doesn’t support WkWebView and that’s required to play videos. AirPlay should work, but it’s not ideal.

@wir43 as I see it, automatically removing Queue or Inbox entries goes against Unwatched‘s core triage system, so I don’t have any current plans for something like this.

If you find yourself with too many videos, I’d suggest getting rid of channels or replacing some with playlists, but that’s probably not what you’re looking for.

You could also take a look at Play (apps.apple.com/de/app/play-sav), which is excellent and has way more features for organizing videos.

@wir43 If you want to remove older entries, you can swipe left on a video, select "…" followed by "Clear below", which should have the same effect if you want to clean up the queue or inbox.

v1.6.3 is out now.

- Spanish translation
- Chapters support attached URLs
- Sync current video & position
- Copy URL options
- Precise chapter skipping
- Small improvements & fixes

@bitsundso großer Fan der Picks :)

@DavidOliMar Thanks so much :)

Is anyone speaking Spanish and would be kind enough to read through (some of) these translations to check if they make sense?

Anything helps :)

@ceiron
1. you can long press the "next" button and select "continuous play"
2. sadly haven’t found a way to get this working. You can enter pip, leave the app and then lock your screen, or lock your screen and press play again.

Would anyone be able and kind enough to help with Spanish translation?

It’s currently machine translated, it’d be great if someone could read through and check if it makes sense. Doesn’t have to be everything of course, anything helps (just remove the background color for the translations that seem fine :)

@jddavis I’m looking into this; but so far I have no idea where this is coming from.

If you come across anything this seems to be related with it’d be great if you could let me know. Could you try to turn off automatic refresh and/or sync and see if it’s still happening? It’s very inconsistent for me.

@craigmorgan thanks for the link. I don’t see anything specific about URLs or more context for each chapter though, it only mentions timestamp and title.

The basic chapters are already supported in Unwatched and not everyone is following this exact format (some have the time trailing or use certain separator symbols). I‘m looking for channels that add URLs to individual chapters.

2025-04-11

@krogulczyk yes, that’s perfect, thanks. Lmk if you come across other ones :)

2025-04-11

@krogulczyk that video seems to have regular timestamps inside the video description. Something like this that includes URLs:

0:00 - Intro

5:26 - Civilization VII VR
uploadvr.com/civilization-vii-

18:39 - PlayStation VR2's Eye Tracking
Working On PC
uploadvr.com/developer-gets-pl

Is anyone aware of YouTube channels that add URLs to individual chapters? I’m looking for different formats, similar to this (youtu.be/gYqZxgFDnrk):

0:00 - Intro

5:26 - Civilization VII VR
uploadvr.com/civilization-vii-

18:39 - PlayStation VR2's Eye Tracking
Working On PC
uploadvr.com/developer-gets-pl

@john it already exists, but there’s no player as tvOS doesn’t support WebKit.
