@rmbutler83 hey!!!
@marcas Grew up surfing and body boarding. Before going into the ocean, we always looked from the dunes (rips, weather, tides). Then looked at the shore line (marine stingers). Before entering.
Rips are like a fast track to the big waves out back.
Sharks hate waves.
If you get stuck in a rip, just coast the freeway out, take a deep breath before each wave. The waves come in sets but you'll eventually come up again. Once out back, wave hands and swim across and back in. Like a rectangle.
@Tattooed_mummy Linux is pretty great, ngl
@davidgarywood Once you own one, the occasions will arise frequently.
@yaakov They check your bags? I thought it was a body search?
How do I handle exceptions in Jupyter Notebooks? I don't want this to fail, I'm taking care of the problem myself.

@ocean "YOU SHALL NOT BAAAAAHHHH"
@incitatus I have to wonder who is making these decisions.
The closure of branches might be driven by shareholders.
But if shareholders want to go full digital - like the online banks - then why have other execs demanding 9-5 office hours for non-branch staff?
What we learned during the hell of lockdown is that we're more productive when we're not constantly interrupted. But if we're always isolated and cut off, we lose out.
Who are these people who want to enforce 9-5 in the office stuff? There's no need now.
Banks: We want all employees back in the office. Face-to-face interaction is the best way to develop a meaningful and collaborative culture.
Also banks: We're closing our physical branches. Customers can bank with us using the Internet, or phone us and sit on hold for 3 hours. Face-to-face interaction isn't needed anymore.
@damovisa @NewtonMark Wired also posted an article on "what if we unlock the mysteries of menopause" recently and I can't regard them as a tech zine these days.
@woodyluvscoffee Narrator: They were not yet mature enough. π€£
I hesitated posting this photo of my flowering cactus because Iβm not sure yβall are mature enough to handle it.
@jpm So like a red herring, so to speak? Fill it with fish and if someone tries to steal it, disappoint them?
Still a high asking price, considering.
Why make a briefcase out of metal when it could be brute forced so easily?
Did this briefcase find its way into a vintage shop after a some kind of James Bond adventure?
What could possibly be contained within?
New beenie, who dis?
