The thing about Pink Floyd is that even if you don't smoke pot any more, listening to Shine On You Crazy Diamond gives you a Pavlovian high anyway.

@Roannasylver @bookrastinating @bookstadon @eriexplosion audiobooks are sanity saving for so many reasons.
@Lizerreal the guy in the basket is chuffed
@philippe it just depends on the mood, and the company.
@patnspankme the holidays?
to wit: "probably not" and "we'll show your body to the next guy"
I don't think there's anywhere that you can accumulate a pretty level thesis on a given issue like that from the range of experience. Pros are great at stepping in at need to give context, and hopefully some totally new person will now have a different perspective on the question "will someone steal my work" and "is it smart to make dumb accusations on the internet"
https://www.reddit.com/r/Screenwriting/comments/z6ncl8/just_saw_a_netflix_movie_that_is_wayyy_too/ this is an example of the kind of post that I *understand* seems like it should be taken down, but the discussion happening below is exactly the reason we don't. We take down deceptive posts, but this is a bit different:
This person is, kindly put, delusional. Pros talk with their lawyers, not Reddit, when they have these issues. But the comments demonstrate why, and how, and what's wrong with "but my work was stolen by BIG NAME".
@JeffLieber @Lynda there’s a reason there’s only ever been one king named John.
@AbbyCWL that was my house and you said it was okay
@JeffLieber @Lynda I can usually give a pretty good summary of my thoughts of a film but I just feel flattened. Every line. Every fucking line.
@JeffLieber @Lynda I am SO GLAD I asked my question.
@Lynda @JeffLieber won’t lie. I’m a heavy tourist in the area of medieval and Renaissance British history so I’m loving some Richard the momma’s boy lionheart. This is one of the most interesting family dramas in British history. And Eleanor was so bloody canny
I use decades to define when I’ve seen a film but what I’m really saying is my mother showed me films I probably should’ve been older for. Like I think I was 12 when I saw the Godfather. But you can’t deny your cinematic heritage.
@JeffLieber okay I will. I will report back.
@DanielleSATM I put together a personal news feed follow set on a server I don’t plan on checking often for its main content. It’s not ideal but at least I can go see the sources. I prefer having it as a container beside a regular feed, though. Especially for breaking news. RIP Twitter’s fact checking.
@JeffLieber I don’t think I’ve seen Butch since my mother showed it to me 15+ years ago. I’ve never actually seen Lion in Winter and I need to amend that. I like thrills.
