I do code things. I also do music things and game things. Developer of dailydungeon.net

@davidbisset i built daily dungeon using phaser.io! it's quite a capable little framework (was also what vampire survivors was initially built on)

@bigzaphod glad to hear! let me know if you have any further thoughts or suggestions, happy to continue enhancing the game

@bigzaphod thanks for playing daily dungeon! glad you enjoyed it

@davidbisset thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. let me know if you have any other feedback or comments, always happy to continue making enhancements to the game

Building a game using web technologies 😊

The idea is basically to keep an n x n grid around the player fixed and regenerate the rest of the world based on a constraint solver like wave function collapse (and likely some hard coded rules for certain conditions). The player will be able to draw in certain parts of the world to “guide” the constraint solver, if you will.

Exploring a new concept for a probabilistic open world adventure game.

I dropped a new puzzle in dailydungeon.net, check it out!

My submission for reactjam.com. Flock is a game where you control a zippy blue jay and have to influence the other jays into following to to your party. Gather more jays than your rival to win! You can try it out here: vijaypemmaraju.github.io/react

@kenney thank you for everything all these years, you’ve been an incredible contributor to the community 💙

drawing on the grid; just random module selection for now (no WFC just yet), but this is where things start to get interesting, this prototype is kinda starting to look like a 2d Townscaper 😅 #gamedev #jsgamedev #phaser

overlaying the new polygons on the existing grid looks a lot cooler than i expected #gamedev #procgen #jsgamedev #phaser

now that I finally have mesh relaxation working, I can now combine the centers of each quad to form different regular polygons, from triangles to hexagons!

improved mesh relaxation for my non-standard grid #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #jsgamedev #phaser

playing around with some mesh relaxation techniques as inspired by some of @OskarStalberg's work. Let's just say things went really off the rails by the last one 😅 #gamedev #procgen

more generation fun, this time with some slight web worker optimization and showing all possible tiles #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #procgen

decided to restart my WFC explorations in #javascript as trying to do game design while learning #rustlang was making my head hurt. Here it is in all its unoptimized glory using
@kenney's wonderful assets. #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #procgen

#rustlang #bevy gamedevs: how do you guys structure your projects? I love the built-in encapsulation from using plugins, but I’m left scratching my head a bit when considering where in the file/directory structure to put components, systems, resources, etc. @bevy #gamedev
