@subG probably. Apple devices absolutely do not just randomly boot into an entirely different OS build type meant for engineering, and they certainly don't display kernel panics that way

paging @orangera1n for clarification

i spent too much time on this

STOP DOING RARS
- Movies were not supposed to be compressed
- Years of piracy yet no real-world use found for splitting
- Wanted to compress anyway for a laugh? We had a tool for that: It was called "encoding"
- Yes please give me .r01 of something. Please give me .r97 of it" - Statements dreamed up by the utterly deranged

Look at what Scene groups have been demanding your respect all this time, with all the programs & tools we built for them
(This is REAL rars, done by REAL Scene Groups):

osa.r03, osa.rar ????? | tv.r23, tv.rar ???????? | hed.r93, hed.r94, hed.rar ????????????? |

"Hello i would like 100 (winrar image) please"
They have played us for absolute fools

New blog post: Transmitting data via ultrasound without any special equipment

Did you know your speakers can play (and your microphone can record) audio at frequencies beyond what most people can hear? They can! And you can use that fact to secretly transmit data!

edit: oops, that had something weird going on with the youtube embed. fixed.

Second edit: warning: if you can hear that, and especially if you are using headphones, it is pretty loud

A screenshot taken of audacity, in which you can see a waveform (that seems loud, but that's about it) and a spectrogram (in which the encoded characters are clearly visible)

that's a hell of a pitch for a cookie

Rare non-bot post: Happy to report that I have finally completed tagging and OCRing all 6000+ postcards. Currently working on normalizing my tagging across the past few years.

Also: if you can read Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Russian and are interested in helping to hand-check OCR, PM me.

the machines sing a sweet lullaby for one of their own

humming and clicking
whirring and beeping

blinking their little lights in unison

conversations through ordered chaos

they sing a sweet lullaby for one of their own

the Surface RT is a perfectly functioning tablet device with no backwards compatibility flaws in its ACPI table whatsoever /s

7957 FBL_CORE1_KERNEL_NPC WinPE with barely working DWM running on a physical Surface RT device, with working USB support (although SD support isn't working yet)

the framebuffer just before this screenshot was taken barely even drew a polygon for the CMD window.ditto, at an earlier point (prior to some hacking-up in the WIM) with tables patched to output a 1024x768 framebuffer, showing regedit displaying the Surface RT's CPU info as dictated by ACPI. all four CPU cores (from 0 to 3) are shown as "installed" in the registry as well.

and thanks to having kd, i fixed up the acpi table issue so build 7957 works with usb on my yoga 11

sdmmc doesn't work, but it does with a later build and the same acpi tables so this is a driver issue of some sort
picture of a lenovo ideapad yoga 11 running windows 8 build 7957 (check/debug, armv7) winpe

this build uses the classic theme, something which was removed not long afterwards

a version dialog is active, with cmd.exe underneath
