@thurrott It's still gobs of money if they sell them all, but isn't the market for this first gen product relatively thin compared to their main ones? A more conservative production target might be completely reasonable overall.

@Sheril Kinda curious how this will taste. I'm okay with plant based meat alternatives like Beyond and Impossible so a lab grown version of meat would be an interesting try.

No doubt it's going to face a massive uphill battle waged by traditional meat producers and lobbyists out there.

@davorb I agree, but I don’t put it past them to half ass the process just to put a quick end to the current protest and then sort it out later.

I’d love to be wrong on this but right now I’m not seeing them do anything that shows them constructively working with the community.

@davorb There’s probably a massive pool of people who would be willing to take on the role of moderator who don’t care about the protest.

@jonlawson Crazy isn’t it! I messed up one tiny connection early on and had to disassemble the whole thing before moving on with the rest of the build.

Gave me the opportunity to appreciate it twice. 🤣
