A couple of views of Cat Bells from across the lake at Friars Crag just before it tipped it down
Sunset over Windermere at Bowness
Ironically, this is the most sun we’ve had all day 😀
A blustery afternoon on top of Brant Fell, looking over Windermere.
Did a light circular route out of Bowness today, just over three miles. Thinking of heading up to Derwent Water for Cat Bells later in the week if the weather’s not awful.
BEES!
I like bees, so here are some pics I’ve taken over the years. All shot with an iPhone, whose macro ability always impresses me
This was another from the Solstice sunset. Autofocus failed me, but I thought it was an interesting pic nonetheless. Kinda reminds me of a Tangerine Dream album cover.
I took a walk up to our local trig point on Ives Head to watch the sunset on Solstice Day. These are as they came out of the camera, no processing.
The Boy took this one of me. It’s flattering enough to share 😀
The Lookout
Fujifilm S-X1
Bokeh and Grain, Royal Albert Hall, 2018
Villij Woods shack
Panasonic LUMIX LX3
It’s not the best composition I’ve ever done, but I love how the colours pop in this with a minimum of processing. Her hair colour complements that of the brick background.
Out at a party yesterday and got some nice sneaky portraits in
Happened across this rather lovely shot of Chuck Mosely while talking to a mate about
#faithNoMore earlier. Chuck was doing a solo tour of small UK venues in September 2016. This was at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham with maybe around 20 people in the audience.
Not great PQ as shot with an iPhone 6 in very low lighting.
Bluebells in Loughborough Outwoods. We were a bit late this year and missed the proper "carpeting" of the woods with the flowers, but they still looked great in the sunshine this afternoon
Another old shot: sunset at the circus in Filey, East Yorkshire, 2022. Shot with a Panasonic Lumix LX3, 1/400 at f/2.8, ISO 80
Nice afternoon in Bradgate Park, playing with my new/old camera, an eBay bargain Fujifilm X-S1
The zoom on this X-S1 is fantastic. The first shot here is at 24mm, the others at 624mm equivalent, 26x.
