Home is where it is and yet it’s not home. Wandering in the fish market where Baba and I used to go every evening decades ago. I didn’t know how precious that time was. Now I’m here by myself and overwhelmed with all the memories a walk through the market brings.
@AnirbanM this was me yesterday and I am not going to stand down from this vibe…
Tandoori paneer masala today👇🏾
Amrood from my bagaan! #mastindia #desi #guavas
Again, I took over a friend’s kitchen to make her aloo tikkis, pickled onions and a tomato chutney. I think they liked it all.
I just listened to an interview of an amazing UK chef (Desi) where the interviewer asked her— how do you handle men-in-suits when ALL you do is cook? (Implying a female chef can’t math and I am so enraged I might do something not pretty)— like, why? Why ask this in 2022? 2022!
Today’s harvest!
@mahmud_writer @bookstodon Mistry showed me what was possible in immersing me in scene, space and location. It remains one of my all-time favorites. #mastodonindia #booktalk
America’s Finest City looked gorgeous this weekend!

@GraceLP yay!
“To the extent that people remain active on Twitter, they preserve the viability of Musk’s gambit. The illusory sense of community that still lingers on the platform is one of Musk’s most significant assets. No matter which side prevails, the true victor in any war is the person selling weapons to both sides.”

I made tandoori shrimp curry in coconut milk and am pleased as punch with the result.
@AnirbanM yes it is and apparently all writers are there. It just doesn’t make sense. Also they said they don’t get mastadon but am like at this stage, we don’t get anything. 🤷🏽‍♀️
I must say I got on Hive to just see what the hype was all about and frankly, I don’t get it.
The tamatar chutney from my tomato harvest— used chana and chaat masala combo with tons of Serrano peppers and dhaniya leaves. Intend to eat this with appalam for my very chill Thanksgiving with the pup.
@gauravsabnis is it a similar hype phenomenon as it was for pork— the other white meat?
