@winfriedtilanus @mikarv The problem is not security. The point is that if an entity can profile you (i.e. get all the information they want about you) by running an algorithm locally on your device (processing the personal data locally on your device), they don't need the data itself.

Important point by @mikarv: #platforms do not need the (personal) data itself if they have the power to decide what protocol runs on your devices containing that data. So secure multi party computation circumvents the protection #privacy is supposed to offer.

Big news: AG Medina advises #CJEU that CEN/CENELEC/ETSI harmonised standards, eg #AIAct standards, must be published in the OJ and not benefit from copyright protection. Standards bodies usually charge 100€ each, and about 10 AIA standards needed for compliance. National standards bodies will be fuming & scared, as they are financially slipping and eager for AI Act related revenue — each body owns the copyright to the translations, makes €€€ from selling it. Sell more w/ blessing of law. #AIAct
